Will a plant be built in South Africa?

At this stage Peugeot does not plan to manufacture Peugeot cars in South Africa. Peugeot Motors South Africa (PMSA) remains a fully French owned subsidiary distributing imported cars. PSA Peugeot Citroen do however manufacture Catalytic Convertors in SA at a plant in Port Elizabeth and this approximately employs 350 people and approximately 3 million catalytic converters are produced for export every year. Some of the countries exported to include Czechoslavakia, France, Germany, Spain, Sweden and the United States.

Are all the Peugeot models available in South Africa?

PMSA strives to import the complete range for each model to meet its customer expectations. Most of the Peugeot models are available in South Africa. It just depends on what is popular with the car market.
