Objectives
The primary objective of Operation Carbon is to obtain permanent results in the fight against the greenhouse effect. The project implies a programme of reforestation of the Fazenda Sao-Nicolau region, making the greatest allowance for biodiversity. Hymenea courbaril, Tabebuia, Inga edulis… Each species of the local flora is monitored and maintained, to preserve the ecosystem. The sustainability of this scheme also requires harmonious integration into the region's economic and social fabric. This takes the form of job creation in the region, facilitating a growing awareness of the future of our forests and the importance of preserving them.
