03 11 2011PARTNERSHIP: Andile Jali drives 508 for Peugeot
Orlando Pirates & Bafana Bafana soccer star Andile Jali has become a brand ambassador for the elegant Peugeot 508 sedan – the latest addition to the French marque’s passenger car range.
Named Orlando Pirates’ Player of the Year for 2010-2011 season, Jali also features regularly in the starting XI for the South African national team, and is considered one of South African soccer’s hottest prospects.
“We are delighted to welcome Andile to the Peugeot fold,” says Francis Harnie, managing director of Peugeot SA. “We feel that his image as a successful and recognised player amongst his peers and the general public, with a strong commitment to his team, is a perfect match for our brand-new 508 sedan.”
Andile recently received his new steed – a Peugeot 508 1.6 THP Active – from Harnie and is set to become a regular sight behind the wheel of the elegant sedan.
“I’m very excited at this opportunity to drive such a status car as the Peugeot 508,” Andile Jali says. “It shows that hard work always pays off.”
Peugeot is already the official vehicle provider to the Orlando Pirates Football Club.
