Click here08 12 2008Peugeot Challenge Cup Raised R63 000 for Inkanyezi HIV/Aids Orange Farm
Peugeot Motors South Africa, building on their existing strong relations with the Orange Farm Community, donated over R63 000 to the Inkanyezi HIV/Aids Orange Farm Charity fund. The money was collected from the Peugeot Challenge Cup (PCC) golf tournament, where participants each donated R25 towards the charity.

The 5th Peugeot Design Competition closed on 2nd October 2008 with the opening of the Paris Motor Show. This edition, whose theme was "Imagine the Peugeot of the future World Megalopolis", met with resounding success, with over 2,500 projects submitted and participants of 95 different nationalities. On the Podium: Three projects from three continents: 1st prize: PEUGEOT RD–Carlos Arturo Torres Tovar- Colombia – aged 25 2nd prize: PEUGEOT EGO – Emre Yazici – Turkey – aged 45 3rd prize: OXO – Lou Ke – China – aged 22

A Peugeot 308 HDi has driven more than 1 689 kim across South Africa on a single tank of diesel, meaning the 3.4 litres/100 km. The car completed its Coast2Coast challenge by arriving at the Northbound TOTAL Petroport N2 Riverhorse Valley in Umhlanga, on Wednesday, October 15th after its epic journey from the small diamond town of Port Nolloth on the Northern Cape coast, which it began on Monday, October 13th.

A Peugeot 308 HDi has driven more than 1,760kms across South Africa for less than R680, meaning the 1.6 litre car achieved a fuel efficiency ratio better than 3.9l/100kms. The unmodified car, which was exactly the same as a showroom model except for nitrogen filled, energy saving tyres, completed its Coast2Coast challenge by arriving at the Northbound TOTAL Petroport N2 Riverhorse Valley in Umhlanga, on Wednesday, October 15th after its epic journey started in the small diamond town of Port Nolloth on the Northern Cape coast, on Monday,October 13th.

The 2007 Peugeot Challenge Cup drew a total of 2502 golfers who participated in 28 Regional Events. 56 National Finalists participated at the Wanderers, hosted by Peugeot Motors South Africa (28 men and 28 women) on 15 Feb. Congratulations to the two winners: Lenza De Jager (Women’s) and De Wet Lessing (Men’s). These two had the honour of representing Peugeot Motors SA at the 5th Peugeot International Pro Am which place in Paris which has just brought to an end the Peugeot Challenge Cup 2008 season.

This is an international contest to design a car. There will be 30 shortlisted entries. This will be reduced to 10 by a panel of experts. There will then be a public vote on the internet to choose the winner. The winners car is then made into a full size model and presented at the Shanghai Motor Show in April 2009.
