17 02 2010George Motor Show

Motor Show has turned out as a huge success, not only for the show itself, but also for Club Peugeot and the many other classic car clubs involved. Club Peugeot exhibit two Peugeot 504’s and five Peugeot 404’s, complementing the 2010 theme of Club Peugeot in celebrating 50 years of the Peugeot 404. The 404’s on display were a 1967 Station Wagon, a 1974 Station Wagon, a 1975 Pick Up, a 1972 Sedan and a 1975 Sedan, with a 1974 Peugeot 504 Sedan and a 1969 Peugeot 504 Coupé in rally outfit.
Club member Les McLeod drove his unrestored 1967 Peugeot 404 Station Wagon all the way from Johannesburg. With just an oil and tyre check, he was on his way with a boot full of Peugeot spares for some Cape Town club members. Other members came from Cape Town and the George areas.
Once again the Peugeots on display were all of a very high standard, resulting in constant Peugeot talk from many a visitor.
A special word of thanks to those club members who made it possible to once again fly the Peugeot flag high in George and especially to those who came from far away (and FAR far away!); not forgetting those club members who were not exhibiting their Peugeots but still paid a visit to their club stand in order to share in the Peugeot friendship.
