21 07 2010Bastille Day in Franschoek

Like previous years, the Citroën Club and us meet at a central point at Butterfly World in Klapmuts. This year we also manage to get the Renault guys onboard and a total of 4 x Renaults, 15 x Citroëns and 9 x Peugeots followed in convoy to Franschhoek. Special parking/display area were booked at the local NG Church of Franschhoek in the centre of the town. Before the last car is parked, the first have settled already with some snacks and a glass of wine.
Our contribution to the day is as always to great entertainment for the public as they draw closer for a close look at these magic vehicles from the past and lots of interesting conversations are shared about these great cars of the hey days. We were also joined by the Peugeot/Citroën dealer from Tyger Valley with a Peugeot 308 and Citroën DS3 and the public could view these cars and just see for themselves that these brands are here with a strong presence and a rich history. We were also proud to display 4 x Peugeot 404's to celebrate 50 yrs of Peugeot 404.
