SAFETY
The Peugeot 308 CC offers a real feeling of serenity inside the car. The structure is robustly designed to withstand and dissipate front and side impact energy. This is supplemented by innovative and intelligent means of restraint which the cabriolet body shape dictates. 308 CC has obtained 5 EuroNcap stars in the "adult occupants" test.
Airbag
The Peugeot 308 CC is equipped with 6 airbags, two of which are specific to the CC: 2 front airbags, 2 side chest-pelvis airbags, 2 side head airbags.
Seat belts
The Peugeot 308 CC is equipped as standard with four seat belts with a 3-point inertia reel, all equipped with a fasten seat belt warning system.
Anti-roll bars
Within a few milliseconds of a risk of rollover being detected (less than the blink of an eye), extractible hoops create a passenger survival cell with windscreen pillars designed for this purpose.
ABS / ESP technology
The anti-lock braking system (ABS) is standard on all Peugeot 308 CCs, allowing the driver to maintain the car’s trajectory during emergency braking. Emergency Brake Assist, increases braking efficiency if necessary. Electronic Brake Force Distribution (EBD) controls braking pressure wheel by wheel for greater efficiency. The Electronic Stability Program (ESP) is also standard. This computerized technology improves the safety of a vehicle's handling by detecting and preventing skids. When the ESP detects loss of steering control, braking is automatically applied to individual wheels to help "steer" the vehicle where the driver wants to go.
Head side airbags
Each front seat contains a chest/pelvis side airbag and, in a world exclusive on CC's, a head side airbag, guaranteeing effective protection of all parts of the body regardless of seat position.
Euro NCAP
The Peugeot 308 CC obtained 5 stars in the Euro NCAP* adult occupant protection tests, equivalent to the “excellent” level, the maximum it is possible to obtain.
