Fuel Economy
The 3008 are fitted with 16" mud and snow tyres (on versions with Grip Control) and 17" low rolling-resistance tyres. These tyres reduce the rolling resistance by some 20%, so you use less power and enjoy enhanced fuel economy. Our challenge was to achieve this level of efficiency by improving the grip while offering the best mileage life on the market.
HDi Diesel Technology with FAP
Peugeot's HDi diesel engine technology means you can have a less polluting diesel engine that doesn't sacrifice power for improved fuel economy. The FAP particulate filter reduces pollution and CO2 emissions by virtually eliminating particles and smoke. Peugeot South Africa recommends to use low sulphur diesel (50ppm) in its diesel engines. By using the Low Sulphur Diesel, the life of your car will be extended and the long-term maintenance costs will be reduced. In addition, the exhaust emissions will be reduced, the exhaust catalyst performance will be improved, the engine and diesel injector wear will be reduced and the lubricant life will be extended. Finallly you will also be protecting the environment by reducing the amount of harmful CO2 emissions from your vehicle. For more information, refer to our HDi page
