308 RC Z
The 308 RC Z, a veritable elixir of driving pleasure in the purest sense, presented by Peugeot as the embodiment of driving pleasure, capable of arousing strong feelings and emotions thanks to its lightweight construction, its efficiency and its respect for the environment.
The 308 RC Z is a useable, modern 2+2 coupé.
The 308 RC Z concept car is powered by a 1.6 liter THP turbo-charged petrol engine created from the all-new range of engines designed and developed jointly by PSA Peugeot Citroën and the BMW Group.
Using revised engine management software specially developed for the concept car, the 1.6 liter THP engine produces a maximum power of 160 kW. It is, however, characterized by its incredible flexibility, thanks to a maximum torque of 280 Nm produced from a very low engine speed (or 300 Nm with the overboost function). These values ensure remarkable responsiveness under all driving conditions.
The engine is fitted with an entirely new 6-speed manual gearbox.
This engine helps to give the 308 RC Z a particularly efficient compromise between performance and fuel consumption.
